    Since their organic conversion, Jeff and Bob have found that their animals’ immune systems have been much more responsive. “In the past, sick calves required our time and money. Now it seems they have stronger immune systems and are able to respond to illness on their own,” says Bob.

    Helling Holsteins - The Peeters Family

    Harry and Jeannie Peeters’ organic journey began 20 years ago on their family farm near Lindsay, Ontario. Harry’s father purchased the 350 acres of land in 1958 with a commitment to using the “natural blessings” of the farm: good soil, good crops and good cattle. When Harry and Jeannie took the farm over, they too were not interested in chemically-enhanced farming and, in 2001, completed their official transition to organic milk production.
