Timeline ~ A Brief Outline

This is a brief history of what products Organic Meadow has launched and the events that have taken place since our co-op was formed.

1989 OntariBio Organic Farmers' Co-operative formed around a kitchen table in Durham, ON by a group of six organic grain farmers.
1994 Co-op produces one of the first organic dairy products in Canada, organic cheese, under the brand name Country Meadow.
1995 Begin producing Organic milk in 1L, 2L and 4L formats under the brand name Organic Meadow.
1996 Launch Organic Plain Yogurt, Organic Light Sour Cream, Organic Cream Cheese and Organic Pressed Cottage Cheese.
1998 Launch Organic Eggs and Organic Frozen Vegetables.
2004 Launch Organic Chocolate Milk and Organic 14% Sour Cream and Organic Ice Cream.
2005 Launch Organic Butter.  'Ontarbio' changes its name to 'Organic Meadow Co-operative.'
2006 Launch Canada's first (and still only) 2% M.F. Organic Lactose-Free Milk.
2007 Launch Organic Egg Nog.
2008 Launch Organic Cream & Canada's First Organic 2% M.F. Cottage Cheese.
2009 Launch Organic Milk in refillable glass bottles.
2010 The Official Grand Opening of our new dairy processing facility in Guelph, ON (Eastern Canada's First Organic Dairy Facility).
  Launch Organic Kéfir (a cultured & drinkable dairy product).
2012 Nominated as one of the City of Toronto's Green Business Awards for our local and organic approach to feeding Toronto consumers.
  Launch Organic Greek Yogurt.
 2013 Recipient of 2013 Premier's Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence.
2014 Organic Meadow Celebrates 25th Anniversary at their AGM in Guelph, ON.
